Póvoa de Lanhoso ((:ˈpɔvuɐ ðɨ lɐˈɲozu), locally: (:ˈpɔβuɐ ðɨ lɐˈɲozu)) is a municipality in the district of Braga, Portugal. The population in 2011 was 21,886,〔(Instituto Nacional de Estatística )〕 in an area of 134.65 km².〔(Direção-Geral do Território )〕 The present Mayor is Manuel Soares Baptista, elected by the Social Democratic Party.
